HECHT 947 Chainsaw Choke Rod / Lever

Choke rod / lever fits Hecht 947. Replacing part number 947000063. The choke rod is the mechanical link between the choke lever on the air filter housing and the choke plate inside the carburettor. When the lever is set to the choke position for cold starting, the rod closes the choke plate to restrict airflow and enrich the fuel mixture. A broken, bent or disconnected choke rod prevents the choke plate from closing fully, making cold starting difficult or impossible as the engine cannot draw the rich mixture needed to fire from cold. Fitting a replacement restores the mechanical connection between the choke lever and carburettor.
