HECHT 947 957 Chainsaw Brake Handle Kit

Brake handle kit fits Hecht 947, 957 and many other chainsaws, replacing part number 947000113. The brake handle is the front hand guard that activates the chain brake either by inertia during kickback or by the operator’s wrist pushing forward against it. When the handle is cracked, broken or the brake mechanism fails to engage correctly, the chainsaw can no longer stop the chain in an emergency, creating a significant safety risk. Fitting a replacement brake handle kit restores correct chain brake function and safe chainsaw operation.
