SCHEPPACH CSP2540 Chainsaw Bumper Spike / Felling Dog With Screws

Bumper spike / felling dog fits Scheppach CSP2540 and many other 25CC chainsaws. The bumper spike is the toothed metal plate mounted on the front of the chainsaw body that is pressed against the timber to provide a fixed pivot point during cutting. This allows the operator to use a rocking cutting motion, reducing effort and improving control when felling or bucking. When the bumper spike is bent, worn or broken, the chainsaw can no longer be anchored correctly against the timber, making controlled cutting more difficult.
