OLEO-MAC GSH 400 Chainsaw Complete Recoil Starter With Screws

Complete recoil starter fits Oleo-Mac GSH400 and many other chainsaws. The recoil starter is a self-contained pull-start assembly comprising the starter housing, cord pulley, recoil spring, pull cord and handle, mounted directly to the engine casing. When the pull cord is drawn out, pawls engage the flywheel to crank the engine, and the internal recoil spring retracts the cord automatically after each pull. When the mechanism fails due to a broken spring, seized pulley, snapped cord or cracked housing, swapping in a complete starter unit is the most efficient way to restore reliable engine starting without sourcing and replacing individual internal components. Installing a replacement complete recoil starter restores full starting function and gets the chainsaw back in service quickly.
