OLEO-MAC GSH 400 Chainsaw Flywheel With Nut, Washers & Woodruff Key

Flywheel kit fits Oleo-Mac GSH400 and many other chainsaws. The flywheel mounts on the crankshaft, carrying the magnets that trigger the ignition coil to fire the spark plug at the correct point in the engine cycle, while its mass also helps smooth out engine rotation between power strokes. When the flywheel key shears, the magnets weaken or come loose, or the cooling fins cast into the flywheel break off, ignition timing can be lost or the engine can start running hot from reduced cooling airflow — leading to no spark, intermittent misfiring, or overheating. Fitting a replacement flywheel kit restores correct ignition timing and proper cooling airflow.
