Guide bar plate / washer fits Hecht 947. Replacing part number 947000137. The bar plate is a metal washer seated between the guide bar heel and the clutch cover, sitting around the bar mounting studs to provide a flat, even bearing surface when the cover is tightened. Without it, clamping load is distributed unevenly across the bar heel, allowing the guide bar to shift under cutting load and accelerating wear at the bar mounting and oil outlet contact points. A worn, corroded or missing bar plate is a small part that has an outsized effect on guide bar stability and longevity.
