HECHT 947 Chainsaw Crankshaft

Crankshaft fits Hecht 947. Replacing part number 947000022. The crankshaft is the central rotating component of the two-stroke engine, converting the reciprocating motion of the piston into rotational force that drives the clutch, flywheel, oil pump worm gear and recoil starter pawl cup. A worn, bent or seized crankshaft — typically the result of big-end bearing failure, a seized piston, or running the engine without adequate lubrication — requires a full engine strip to replace. Crankshaft failure is usually accompanied by knocking, increased vibration, or a sudden loss of power before the engine stops altogether. Fitting a replacement crankshaft is a complete engine rebuild operation and should be carried out alongside replacement of the crankshaft bearings, oil seals and piston kit.
