Chain adjuster / tensioner cover fits Hecht 947, Makita DCS460, DCS461, DCS500, DCS501, DCS4600, DCS5000, DCS5001, DCS5121 and Dolmar PS-460, PS-500, PS-4600, PS-5000 chainsaws, replacing part numbers 947000136 and 181213191. The chain tensioner cover is a plastic panel that encloses the chain adjuster mechanism on the side of the saw, protecting the tensioning screw and adjustment slot from sawdust and debris ingress during cutting. A cracked or missing cover leaves the tensioner exposed to contamination that can jam the adjustment mechanism, making it difficult to set correct chain tension. Fitting a replacement keeps the chain adjuster accessible and protected during operation.
