MCCULLOCH CS35 Chainsaw Brake Handle & Sprocket Cover

This brake handle and clutch sprocket cover fits McCulloch CS35 chainsaws, replacing part number 582506001. The sprocket cover bolts over the clutch drum and chain sprocket, holding the guide bar in place and enclosing the drive components, while the attached brake handle operates the chain brake — a hand guard that, when struck by kickback or pushed forward, locks the brake band around the clutch drum to stop the chain instantly. If the brake handle becomes loose, cracked, or fails to trip the brake band, the chain brake may not engage properly during a kickback event, while a damaged sprocket cover can also let the guide bar sit loose or misaligned. Fitting a replacement restores both the drive-side cover and reliable chain brake operation.
