PATRIOT BP 41 Chainsaw Flywheel Air Deflector

Flywheel air deflector fits Patriot BP 41 and many other chainsaws. Mounted around the flywheel, the air deflector channels the cooling airflow generated by the flywheel’s fan blades down over the cylinder fins, directing it where the engine needs cooling most. When the deflector cracks, its mounting tabs break, or it sits loose, cooling air can escape before reaching the cylinder, reducing airflow over the fins and increasing the risk of the engine running hot. Fitting a replacement deflector restores correctly directed cooling airflow to the cylinder.
