PATRIOT BP 41 Chainsaw On / Off Stop Switch With Wires

On/off stop switch with wires fits Patriot BP 41 and many other chainsaws. The stop switch grounds out the ignition circuit when pressed, cutting the spark to the spark plug and shutting the engine down. When the switch sticks, its contacts corrode, or a wire breaks or shorts, the engine may fail to shut off when the switch is pressed, or in some cases fail to start at all if the circuit is grounded permanently. Fitting a replacement switch restores reliable, immediate engine shutdown.
