SCHEPPACH CSP2540 Chainsaw Fuel Tank Cap

Fuel tank cap fits Scheppach CSP2540 and many other 25cc chainsaws. This cap seals the fuel tank opening, keeping fuel contained while typically also venting the tank to equalise pressure as fuel is drawn out during running. When the cap’s seal perishes, its threads wear, or the vent mechanism fails, it can no longer hold a tight seal on the tank, leading to fuel leaking past the cap or, if the vent blocks, a vacuum build-up in the tank that can starve the carburettor of fuel. Fitting a replacement fuel tank cap restores a proper seal and correct tank venting.
