SCHEPPACH CSP2540 Chainsaw Guide Bar Nut

Guide bar nut fits the Scheppach CSP2540 chainsaw and many other 25cc chainsaws. The guide bar nut is the fastener that threads onto the bar stud and clamps the sprocket cover and guide bar firmly against the chainsaw body. A rounded, stripped or missing bar nut makes it impossible to secure the guide bar correctly — the bar will shift under load, causing erratic chain tension, uneven wear on the bar rails and a risk of the guide bar working loose during cutting. Replacing a damaged nut with a correctly threaded replacement restores proper clamping of the guide bar assembly and allows the saw to be used safely.
