SCHEPPACH CSP2540 Chainsaw Oil Filter / Strainer

Oil filter fits Scheppach CSP2540 and many other 25cc chainsaws. The oil filter is a small mesh or felt element located inside the bar and chain oil tank, sitting at the inlet to the oil pick-up pipe to prevent sawdust and debris from entering the oil delivery system. A blocked or collapsed oil filter restricts bar oil flow to the pump, causing the guide bar to run dry even when the tank is full. The filter should be inspected and replaced as part of any oil system service — it is a low-cost component that protects the more expensive oil pump and worm gear from contamination-related wear.
