Original Honda carburettor gasket fits Honda G100 engines, generators and lawnmowers. This gasket seals the joint between the carburettor and the intake manifold, keeping the incoming air-fuel mixture contained within a sealed passage on its way to the cylinder. Once this gasket hardens, compresses or cracks, it can no longer hold a proper seal at the joint, allowing unmetered air to enter the intake tract. This upsets the air-fuel ratio and typically shows up as a rough or unstable idle, hesitation under acceleration or hard starting. Fitting a replacement whenever the carburettor is removed for servicing restores a properly sealed joint.
