PATRIOT BP 41 Chainsaw 3/8 Clutch Drum Kit & Needle Bearing

3/8″ clutch drum kit fits Patriot BP 41 and many other chainsaws. The clutch drum houses the needle bearing the crankshaft spins in, and carries the sprocket that drives the chain; centrifugal force from the spinning clutch shoes locks the drum to the crankshaft above idle speed, transmitting engine power to the chain. When the drum’s sprocket teeth wear, the needle bearing seizes or overheats, or the clutch shoes no longer grip cleanly, the chain can run slower than expected, feel jerky, or fail to engage properly at higher revs. Fitting a replacement clutch drum kit restores smooth, reliable power transfer to the chain.
